Getting Started
Prayed is a prayer journal that brings what you write back to you over time. Write a prayer from the compose button on Today. Prayed matches it to scripture on your phone and attaches a verse if you want one. Mark any prayer Open, Ongoing, Answered, or Released as things change.
Common Questions
What is the "Remember" card?
Each day, Today can surface a prayer you wrote 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or 2 years ago, so you see what you asked for and what came of it. A weekly review also rounds up everything still open.
How does scripture matching work?
After you save a prayer, Prayed ranks the full text of the World English Bible and King James Version for the closest matches, entirely on your device. It works offline and nothing you write is sent anywhere. The first time you use it, Prayed downloads a small on-device index (about 35 MB); everything else works before that finishes.
What is Deeper Reflection?
Prayed Plus can write a short reflection on a single prayer using Apple Intelligence's on-device model. It only appears on iPhone 15 Pro and later with Apple Intelligence enabled, and the reflection is written on your phone — nothing is sent anywhere.
What's free, and what does Prayed Plus add?
Writing is free forever, with no cap on prayers. The free plan brings back the last 30 days, includes three scripture matches, and follows three subjects. Prayed Plus ($34.99/year or $5.99/month, each with a 7-day free trial) unlocks your whole resurfacing history, unlimited matching, unlimited subjects, deeper reflections, widgets, import, and export.
How do I restore my Prayed Plus purchase?
Open the paywall from Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us. Open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Prayed. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Can I bring in prayers I already wrote elsewhere?
Yes. Settings → Import accepts plain text files or a Day One export. Backdate any prayer during import or entry so your existing history starts resurfacing right away.
How do I get my journal out of Prayed?
Settings → Export produces a Markdown or PDF file of your whole journal at any time.
My data isn't syncing between devices.
Prayed syncs through your own private iCloud account, if you've turned it on. Check that both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and that iCloud is enabled for Prayed in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting a single prayer sends it to Trash for 30 days before it's removed for good. Deleting the app removes everything stored locally. To remove synced iCloud data too, go to iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Prayed → Delete. See the privacy policy for details.
